Chris Turner brings his relegated Stockport County over to S6 for a must win game for the Owls as they look to get back into the playoff places, this is Turners first trip to S6 as an opposition boss, and his first return since his departure in September.
Paul Sturrock has promised to make changes to the Wednesday line up as they look to end a dismal run of form which has seen them without a win in six, and culminated with a 3-0 reverse up at Victoria Park last Friday, and Wednesday dropped outside the play-off places for the first time since January. Injuries and suspensions have interupted the Owls team selection, but with the injuries beginning to clear slightly and the suspensions almost fully served the Owls should have slightly more room to manoeuver.
Paul Sturrock will have to decide whether to shuffle his back four after the Hartlepool debacle, and if Graeme Lee is now fit, the commanding centre half should return to the side probably alongside Richard Wood, this could allow Lee Bullen to be pushed upfront, a role which he looks like he could be effective in. The midfield should also get a shake up with Lewis McMahon possibly returning to the side after his substitute appearance last weekend, this could mean Chris Brunt dropping to the bench with the midfield four of Hamshaw, Adams, McMahon, and McGovern. The strikers have been a little goal shy of late, and the influence of Steven MacLean has been sorely missed by Wednesday, and boss Paul Sturrock will have to make a decision as to who is front two could be, there are many permitations, with the Bullen/Peacock, or Bullen/Quinn looking the more likely
