Portugal did really well to qualify from the Group of Death. They are more play more good. They won Nertherland, a strong team, won Denmack. Czech have more lucky, they have made a “miracle” to qualify following their 4-1 defeat against Russia in their opening game. But they won Greece and Poland to face Portugal. However I think, Portugal will be favourites in this game. They are really strong in attack and I choose them

Both team lost their opening games, but have since rallied the troops and earned a chance to fight for one place of the semi-finals, where they will meet either Spain or France.I think draw 1-1 or under.

Two out of the three group matches for both these sides have produced more than 2.5 goals. Both these sides will start to attack from the whistle so that they can score early to cool their nerves. The Czechs scored four goals while the Portuguese scored five in their groups, so I believe that both sides will score and it being a knock out match, they will play an open game which should produce lots of goals. Their last meeting at Euro 08 produced four goals. Therefore I think we will witness a number of goals in this encounter.

These two sides defied the odds to reach the last eight. The Czechs recovered well after a 4-1 drubbing by Russia to win both their next two matches to top their group. Portugal needed a late winner against Denmark before winning against the Dutch to book their ticket. Portugal do not have injury problems while the Czech will be hoping Rosicky to be match fit so that he can start the game. These two sides have met twice since the break up of Czechoslovakia with both winning once. The Portuguese won at Euro 2008 while the Czechs won at Euro 96 with a superb scoop by Poborsky. I believe that the Czechs might just pip the Portuguese and reach the semis just like Russia who at Euro 08 lost its opening game 4-1 to Spain and went to reach the last four.

Tonight we will know first national team which will play on semi final. Portugal will play against Czech Republic, i do not see big difference in a quality between this two national teams, Criastiano Ronaldo is excellent player, but what will happen if he not score a goal, if he not play on high level, on the other side, Tomas Rosicky and Milan Baros are experienced players. It is only one match, everything can happen. Czech Republic is not without chances in this duel.

These two teams met twice in the past. In Euro 1996, Czech overcame Portugal by a single goal scored by K. Poborsky. In Euro 2008, goals from Deco, Ronaldo, and Quaresma helped Portugal beat Czech 3-1. Portugal's squad is almost unchanged while Czech Rep.'s has changed a lot. They no longer have big stars like Nedveds or Poborsky. Greece and Poland lost to them because those teams are too weak. I expect Portugal to beat Czech something like 3-1 or 4-1, as Russia did to them.

Not that much to be said here. The czech republic got to this stage surprisingly after beating Poland in the last match. Portugal entered into the quarterfinals after getting through the toughest group in the tournament. Portugal is way better in every departmend and should enter into the semis. The czechs have to stop their adventure here and they should be proud of it remembering how they started their campaign...

I still have problems digesting the poor Polish display against the Czechs. I was dead wrong, I admit that, but as I suspected that T Rosicky would be not be fit to play, I was 100% ready to lump all my money on Poland. Which I did and it hurt, but no doubt that the Czech Republic won the match deservedly. I have said it before.

The Portuguese national team has been presenting good football, always growing from game to game, with a well defined eleven men led by Paulo Bento, are in Europe to achieve something beautiful as it has in the head of the list wins a hog named Cristiano Ronaldo that he is not content with the victories, always wanting more and more.
As for the Czech Republic, is a very well organized team who defend well and will try to exploit any failure of the Portuguese ... expected to be a very tactical game in the early part of the game ... over the minutes and if everything is zero, both teams were looking for the goal. I believe in a Portuguese victory.
