This may be another Under 2.5 goals game.The test of Russia were good games, they surprised by beating Italy 3-0. But the Italians take friendlies not seriously. The Czech Republic has disappointed me against Hungarians, they lost 1-2. that was very bad! But friendly matches are not european championship matches - we must distinguish. Today, both teams will play more defensively, I think. Under 2.5 Goals

Only three out of ten qualifying games for the Russians produced more than 2.5 goals while only three out of eight games for the Czechs produced over 2.5 goals. Russia are very strong at the back which can be evident from the fact that they conceded only four goals in ten games. Even their friendlies do not produce many goals, only the 3-0 win over Italy went over the mark.
The last two friendlies played by the Czechs did produce more than 2.5 goals and with this game being played after the Poland v Greece match, the teams will know exactly know what is required to stamp their authority in the group.
The Russians have very good forwards all capable of scoring and despite having a poor record in friendlies, the Czechs did manage to get some goals and with Rosicky around, you cannot discount him conjuring up something for his side.
The last time these two sides met was in Euro 96 and they shared a 3-3 draw, so we should be in to witness some goals in this one.

Russia has some great strikers in team and no doubt that they are favorites against Czech Republic in today game. Team who has Arshavin, Pogrebnyak and Pavlyuchenko must be respected from any side. Czech Republic depend on two or three players, Rosicky Baros and Petr Cech. If they has good day then Czech can hope having good game, otherwise, they will not. This is not good enough to resist Russia

Russia are unbeaten in fourteen games. They have some really good players and have notched up good results in friendlies beating fellow Euro bound Denmark and Italy, whom they thumped 3-0. They reached the semi at Euro 08 and look likely to go through from this group. For the Czechs meanwhile this will be their fifth consecutive appearance at the Euros but apart from their first at Euro 96 when they reached the final they have failed to get past the group stages at any other finals. They were not impressive in their friendlies against the Israelis, Irish and the Hungarians and I really don't see them making any impact in this group.

Russia has very good recent form, They did not lose for very long time, more then one year. Russia finishing preparetion period with great win over Italy and they are full of selfconfidence for this game. Czech finished on second place in group and they was lucky to get Montengro in play off so they qualify with out problems but at this level I dont beleve that they can mke good result

Recent result sin firendly games showing that Russia will have serious and strong team and this EURO. In last friendly game they trash Italy with 3:0 win and they are unbeaten in last 12 games. I think that Czech has old teams with only two or three star players who play in high form

The impressive win against Italy recently makes me think that Russia might take all 3 points in this one. Of course Italy are in a bad mood recently, but a 3-0 is a 3-0. Earlier this year there was also a victory 2-0 over Denmark and a 1-1 draw against Uruguay more recently. Both these 2 teams are better than Czech Republic, who rely on a tired and bored Baros in attack. I think Russia will win this match and they might do it to nil. I don't understand all the hype of betting on Czech, but I guess it's just bettors who've seen value in Czech Rep odds. I, personally don't. I think Russia knows that the toughest challenge will be Poland in this group cause they will be bolstered by their fans. It's the first match and they must start well.
