Spain last time lost a game exactly one year ago 24 june 2009 when they lost against USA in Confederations Cup semifinal. Since that loss. Spain win next 12 games and they show realy impresive performance and scoring many goals. Swis side had easy group in qualifications with Greece Bulgaria and Finland but they did not win in last 4 friendly games
After wining Euro two years ago it is normal that spain is one of the favorites for this World Cup. They have excelent run in last two years. They played great during all qualification period and at the moment I cant find weak point in their team. Switzerland make huge result by participating on this competition but Spain is far better side
Spain good news is that Fabregas can play on the first match. Pairing with Pique and puyol, i expect the game will open up to many goals and mores.
On the other hand, Switzerland is expected to play out all defensive counter atach style but Spain attack is way 2 potent for any team to handle, . Spain's previous match thrashed Poland 6-0, mind you, Poland is very well known to be a low scoring defensive team.
